Gole dell'Infernaccio

The Gole dell'Infernaccio, in the heart of the Monti Sibillini National Park, are a natural masterpiece carved by the Tenna river. Among the most suggestive of the Apennines, they open the way to several of the most famous tourist and excursion routes in the entire Sibillini Mountains: the Hidden Waterfall, the Tenna Spring (Capotenna) and the Hermitage of San Leonardo.

At the entrance to the gorges is the spectacle of the ‘Pisciarelle’, the phenomenon of drop-like waterfalls due to the particular morphology of that slope of Monte Zampa where water abounds, dispersing downstream in a quite unique way. The gorges, with their wild beauty, are a must-see for nature and trekking lovers.
